About Me.
My name is Jack Antonsen and I am 28 years old. I was born in San Jose, CA, and raised in Redding, CA. As a young man, I was passionate about skateboarding. I absolutely loved it. Everyone in my neighborhood skated, so the influence for me was strong. We would literally skate from morning until night, and sometimes even into the late night hours. Competing in competitions, obtaining sponsors, and lots of parties came with the lifestyle. Going into high school, things started to become serious when I started experimenting with cocaine, ecstasy, and mushrooms — and then later becoming addicted to oxycontin, heroin, and methamphetamines. My skateboarding career came to a very quick halt as I traded it in for a life of destruction which would lead to many broken relationships and homelessness.
A the age of 21, I moved to San Francisco to enter into a year long program that helped me to change every aspect of my life. I completed the entire year successfully. I was able to find purpose for my life. During this year, I realized that my life has a value attached to it that no amount of money could buy. Dreams started to come back to life as I realized the love that God has for me. It’s now been 7 years since I laid it all down and since then have not been intoxicated with anything — not one time.
Now at 28, I am pursuing a new passion — fitness. I am studying to become a trained fitness professional because I love being able to play a part in helping people reach their goals, and in fitness I am able to push people beyond what they thought they are capable of to help people see the greatness inside of them.
